The 19 year-old college student uploaded this photo of herself in a bra and boyshorts, an outfit thats standard fare for an awful lot of Instagram selfies. But shortly thereafter, Newman discovered that her account had been suspended for the nebulous offense of violating community guidelines and users of Instagram think that visit our website the size of the woman in the photo might have had something to do with that. Although Instagram reinstated Samm as a user after the story broke on NBC4i , claiming that the removal of her account had been a mistake, fans believe shes rightfully irritated at her photo being flagged in the first place on a forum thats absolutely rife with pictures of ladies in similar states of undress. To them, its just more evidence of the size discrimination that tells people with bigger bodies theyre not allowed to love the skin theyre in. Fat is not a bad word, Newman told NBC. How confident can you be if you keep censoring yourself because people dont want to look at you? Im going to make a difference in the world, regardless of whether Instagram cooperates or not. And considering how quickly Instagram changed its tune after being called out, hopefully this will be the last time that the photo-sharing app seemingly tries to infringe upon this fierce dames divine right to be on the internet in her underwear.
